1981 –  Tbilisi State University (Law Faculty )

1989 –  Aspirant at the Diplomatic Academy of the Department of State of the USSR, Branch of law of Nations;

2004 – Leader Program at the US State Department. (Washington)

 

 

 

 

 

Experience:

 

1981–1992, Georgian State Attorney Aspirant, Independent Deputy of Georgian Parliament  elected by majoritarian rule, Investigation Judge, Chef attorney, Secretary of the Party Committee, Head of the department for international Relations, 1992-1999, Head of the Labour Faction in Parliament, Chair of the “United Georgia” Coalition, Member of the Parliament Office and the College. In 2002 and 2006, he was elected a member of Tbilisi Government. Later on, he was elected Member of Parliament in November 2003, but the Parliament including the faction of Georgian Labour Party was dismissed as a result of the anti-Constitutional government overthrow. He was again elected as Member of Parliament in parliamentary elections of May 2008, and has been the leader of the party’s team in Parliament since then. Georgian Labour Party has nominated him as a presidential candidate.

1995 till today, founder and Chair of the Georgian Labour Party, Member of the association of the World Lawyers and the association of the Law of Nations, Honourable Ambassador at the State of Louisiana.

On his initiative, Georgia joined the European Convention on Human Rights.
